Viewloader Triton 2 Paintball Gun Help?

I just got a Viewloader Triton 2 paintball gun from a friend of mine. I tried it out and it doesn't work. Every time i shoot the gun the paintball goes about 5 feet then drops. Then after I fire the gun, I have to the gun back every time I want to fire. Does anyone know whats going on? I checked the CO2 tank, its not that. Please help
