40 weeks pregnant and having cramps, I think its constipation, but since I've been constipated and cramping?

all week I can't even tell what the pain is from. It feels worse than it did all week. Can i take a glycerin suppository to relieve the constipation. Also, has anyone heard of it inducing labor-I really wouldn't mind since I'm due today and my dr said I'm ready to go.
